I grew up in a family where gardening was a part of EVERYDAY LIVING. At the time, our garden provided us with an abundance of homegrown fruits and vegetables. Flowerbeds, thoughtfully arranged, and lovingly cared for by my mother, brought beauty and character to the garden. As a child, I happily enjoyed sweet dark-red strawberries freshly picked for breakfast, though I was far less enthusiastic about the work required to grow them. Back then, it felt more like an obligation than a gift.
Today, my perspective has completely changed. I am deeply grateful that GARDENING became part of my life so early on. Much of the knowledge and sensitivity developed during those years - consciously or unconsciously - has stayed with me and continues to flourish today. I have come to understand that our relationship with nature exists on a far deeper level than we often realise.
I can see how we as HUMAN BEINGS interact with NATURE, how it influences us and the other way around. When we begin to truly observe it, this CONNECTION can give us so much more than what is obviously visible to us. It has the power to restore, ground, and transform us quietly from within.
This understanding inspired the creation of Garden Style - a dedicated space within The Society of Style devoted to integrating nature into the way we live and design our homes. Whether through an expansive outdoor garden, a terrace filled with herbs, or simply a few thoughtfully placed plants in a small apartment, NATURE HAS THE ABILITY TO ELEVATE A SPACE AND ENRICH DAILY LIFE.
Here, I will be sharing inspiration, thoughtful ideas, and practical guidance on gardening, plant care, and THE ART OF BRINGING NATURE INTO EVERYDAY LIVING. More importantly, I hope to explore the deeper meaning behind this connection and THE SUBTLE WAYS IT SHAPES OUR WELLBEING AND LIFESTYLE.
I would also love to hear about your own experiences and rituals with nature along the way.
